Positions : Entrepreneur, Translator, Writer, Consultant, Trainer.
Duties: translation, writing, consulting, and training services for corporate and personal clients; managing a small enterprise.
October 1990 to May 1996
La Cité collégiale, Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Position : Technical Writer.
Duties : writing, revising, translating and layout duties for the Computer Resources Department of La Cité collégiale. The main goal of the position was to document in-house applications, as well as commercial software used by the College. Duties included writing and revising error messages and user-interface screens; writing user guides; writing various documents for the Department (letters, memos, papers, etc.); writing and layout of a newsletter intended for College Staff; language-consulting duties for the Department and College Staff, in order to ensure a high level of quality with regards to French documents; setting up and managing the college's first-ever Gopher server; giving professional development workshops to the College Staff on the use of Pegasus Mail (e-mail software) and on the Internet; all other duties relating to the quality of all written documents produced by the Department and, occasionnally, by the College.

Algonquin College, Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Position: Translator.
Duties: English-to-French translation duties involving documents of various nature: administrative, advertisements, memos, job postings, letters, educational documents, and so on. Duties were carried out using the WordPerfect word-processing software. Other duties included: rereading, revising and editing documents; French-language consulting for the college Staff.

Position: Mailroom Coordinator.
Duties: supervising mailroom activities; supervising one messenger; purchasing office supplies; managing the stockroom; storage; updating a list of publications and books; managing the company's small library.

Hobbies and Interests

Family
My greatest hobby is spending as much time as possible with my family, my Number One Priority.
Reading
Computers, environmental issues, psychology, current issues, philosophy, literature, poetry, health issues, science and all the classic French comic strips (Astérix, Tintin, Achille Talon, Philémon, etc.).
Music
I listen to everything: classical, rock, jazz, blues, folk, instrumental, folk, etc.
Other interests
Gardening, birdwatching, walking, biking, photography, cooking, fishing and, of course, surfing the Net.
